Mined over 70 years ago.
When purchased from a whetstone shop, lacquer was applied to the sides, but it had thinned, so it was later re-lacquered with cashew lacquer at the same shop.
Similarly, the lacquer stamp and authenticity mark have disappeared due to use, so the price has been reduced to about 2/3 for this Mercari listing.
