Suita has a layered structure, produces a lot of slurry, and is known as an easy-to-use whetstone with an excellent balance of softness and grinding power.

The abrasive grains are fine, and the sharpening feel is slightly soft with a moist texture. It gently refines steel while firmly finishing the blade edge, resulting in a natural and uniform finish. It also pairs well with Nagura stones, allowing for smooth slurry spread and stable grinding.
