Kotorito whetstones were distributed by Yamamoto Toishi Ten, but the mine is now closed, making them an extremely rare and almost mythical whetstone that rarely appears on the market.
Despite its relatively soft texture, it possesses exceptionally high polishing power, demonstrating excellent performance as a medium to finishing stone for creating slurry from hard natural whetstones or for removing scratches.
