Maruo-yama Natural Whetstone, Superb Eggshell Color, With/Without Nest Pits

Purchased from Toriyasan, this is a natural whetstone from Maruo Mountain, an egg-colored suita (nest stone) without any nests.

The surface was flattened with a diamond whetstone, and the back side was used. This is being listed due to whetstone consolidation.

The stone has a very uniform quality, with an excellent balance of responsiveness, polishing power, and fine grit.

This type is mined from the layer near the edge of the nest stone, similar to white nest stone without nests and shikunai kumori (cloudy finish).
