Natural whetstone, cream color, rectangular

Thank you for viewing.
This is an Iyo whetstone from Ehime Prefecture.

Size:
Weight: 1535g
Width: 8.5cm
Length: 24.1cm
Thickness: 3.1cm
Hardness: Medium.
The second photo shows the back side.
The third photo shows the stone when wet.
Grit: #2000 or higher.
Includes photos of polishing marks. (Polishing marks from artificial whetstones #1000/#2000 are from Shapton Kuromaku)
Polishing method: Polished flat steel SS400 with artificial whetstone #1000, then polished for approximately 2 minutes.
Magnification: 120x.
Please note that the stone may have been treated with Tennen Toishi Yoseizai Ishi-san for crack prevention. This does not affect sharpening.
We believe it will sharpen faster and cleaner if placed before the finishing stone.
Sharpening is very efficient if you create slurry with a diamond whetstone first.
For purchases of 5000 yen or more (including combined purchases), we will include one or two coppa whetstones (sample photos shown) as a free gift.
Additionally, regardless of the purchase amount, we will include approximately two kirikuzushi (sample photos shown) as a free gift. These are useful for creating mud as a nagura and for rust removal.
