This is a vintage cutting board from the 1950s by Danish company Digsmed.
It is made extensively of teak wood using the traditional Danish technique of end-grain joinery.

Originally, this was a tool used for slicing bread, cheese, ham, etc., and then serving them directly to the table. It features magnets that fit into the groove on the edge, and its shape also suggests a design for use with a knife, adding to its appeal as a functional item.

The small wooden house-like object included is heavy and can also be used as a paperweight for placing items on.

The luster and grain of the well-used teak wood are beautiful, making it not only a practical item but also a piece that adds warmth to any space simply by leaning it on display.
