Maruo-yama Shirosuita Premium Grade Lotus Flower
299.00 $
Description
Maruoayama Shirosuita Renka, top quality.
I wanted a whetstone for professional use that wasn't too soft and could quickly achieve a good edge. I had Torihoya prepare several stones, and I selected this one after testing them.
I purchased it for ￥150,000, and even Tsuchihashi-san vouches for its quality.
Both sides are flattened, but the side without the stamp has been used and is now thinner.
Photos 9, 10, and 11 are from when I purchased it.
Please refer to the photos for size and how it feels when sharpening. It sharpens smoothly from the start, without scratching, and without producing too much slurry, allowing for a quick and good edge.
While it was good for professional use, I've started carrying smaller whetstones and have accumulated too many, so I've decided to sell this one.
I haven't used it frequently, so I believe it has only worn down by 1-2mm.
I would like someone who will take good care of it to purchase it.
