Description
This is a very high-quality, hard, white natural whetstone from Okudono.
There are no scratches, only hairline marks. It is cut parallel to the layers, resulting in a beautiful stone with a clean grain pattern.
When lightly cleaned of mud, the creamy slurry will enhance the sharpening experience, leading to a refined, cloudy finish. It is sufficiently hard and suitable for carpentry tools, but can also be used for the cutting edge of knives. It offers excellent glide and a smooth sharpening feel, with tremendous polishing power. The base metal will be finished finely without any scratches. This is a top-quality stone that is enjoyable to sharpen and has no flaws in quality.
However, carbon steel may oxidize slightly, so it is recommended to finish while observing the condition of the base metal. A quick touch-up will resolve any issues.
The back of the stone has a slight wobble, so feet have been attached with hot glue. If you do not need them, please let us know in a comment after purchase, and they will be removed. There will be no damage when removed, so please rest assured.
