Natural Whetstone, Iyo-to Akaboshi, Medium Grit (Fine Grain), 170×47×50mm, 970g
33.00 $
Description
This is a red star from Iyo stone.
Although it is an old item, it has no noticeable cracks or chips and is in relatively good condition.
It is slightly hard and has a grit size comparable to a fine medium grit stone. It bites into the blade well and produces black slurry. It does not wear down the base much, giving an impression close to a finishing stone despite being a fine medium grit.
The sharpening surface has been flattened and can be used as is, unless you have specific preferences. Please check the photos for other details. Thank you.
