?? Product Description (Official Excerpt)
A stainless steel file that can cut in any direction like sandpaper.
It can be used without worrying about the direction of the grit.
Generally, sandpaper and backing plates used for surface finishing have a slight cushioning effect from the adhesive (double-sided tape, etc.) that holds them together, which can cause the edges to slightly round off during cutting.
The Edge Finishing File is a metal file without cushioning, so it is less likely to round off edges and creates sharp results.
