These are care gloves designed to prevent patients from removing oxygen masks, IV drips, tubes, etc.

They are designed so that the wearer cannot remove them on their own. They were purchased as specified by the hospital, but the patient was discharged soon after, so they were never used.

There is a knack to unsnapping them: insert a fingernail and press the center of the snap to release it.

Purchased in May of this year for ¥4,648.
