Sashiko vest, linen, plaid pattern

This vest was made with sashiko stitching on checkered linen fabric.
The fabric has an indigo-dyed look, though it is not actually indigo-dyed.
The sashiko stitching covers the entire garment.
The front and back panels feature different stitching patterns.
The full sashiko stitching makes it very sturdy.

? There is one spot where the fabric was slightly cut during the sewing of the slit, resulting in a narrower seam allowance (_ _).
? To ensure a light and airy feel, no lining was added.
Therefore, there are many knots of sashiko thread on the reverse side (see the last image).

This is not an oversized fit.
It has a clean silhouette that drapes without spreading, and the slits allow for easy movement.

Materials: Fabric 100% Linen (slubs present)
Thread 100% Cotton (Hida sashiko thread)
Color: Navy x Blue Checkered Pattern

? The fabric was pre-washed before sewing.
? After completion, it was washed on a gentle cycle in a washing machine for inspection.
Fabric softener was not used due to personal preference for scents.

~Care Instructions~
Gently hand wash (or use a delicate cycle on the washing machine) in a laundry net.
→ Spin dry in the washing machine for about 1 minute.
→ Reshape and air dry in the shade.
* Please wash separately as the color may bleed.
