This is a charcoal developed by Izumo Carbon Co., Ltd. in Shimane Prefecture, specializing in humidity control and deodorization. It was created for moisture and odor control in homes. It is fired at a higher temperature than ?? charcoal, which enhances its ability to absorb and release moisture.
It works to bring indoor humidity closer to a comfortable range of approximately 40-60% by absorbing moisture when humidity is high and releasing it when it is dry.
By suppressing odor-causing substances and moisture that can lead to mold, it is also used for odor and mold control in closets, wardrobes, shoe boxes, etc.
Can be used semi-permanently
As it is charcoal without any chemicals, the contents are less likely to degrade, and it is generally considered to be usable semi-permanently without replacement. Its performance can be maintained by occasionally air-drying it in the shade or sun.
