This is a sweat and dirt-proof cover for a kesa (Buddhist stole).

Kesas are often made of pure silk or woven fabrics.
When wearing a kesa over a collarless shirt like a T-shirt or sweatshirt, sweat stains and dirt can be a concern. Also, the woven fabric can be itchy against the neck. I used to wrap a hand towel around it, but it looked a bit awkward (lol).
Since commercially available covers were only made of plastic, I decided to make one myself.

It's not just for sweat in the summer; it also provides warmth in the winter, so it can be used year-round!

As of September 2025, there are no mass-produced versions of this product.
This is the first washable kesa cover in Japan!

The cover you will receive is unused.

★The design (though it's not much of a design) is original.
★Made of soft towel fabric.
★100% Cotton.

★For kesas 5cm wide.
★When unfolded, the width is 14-15cm.
★The length is 38-39cm.
★Reversible.
★Easy to attach and detach with plastic snaps.
★Can be fastened with the snaps showing or hidden.
★The color is navy.
The color in photos 1-4, showing the kesa with the cover attached, is the closest to the actual product.

【Please understand】
◆Towel fabric stretches and shrinks, so the size measurements have some leeway.
◆I use the towels as they are purchased. Since preferences for detergents and fabric softeners vary, I have not pre-washed them.
◆Although I use thread of a similar color, the stitching may be visible. Please also allow for slight irregularities or distortions.
◆The color of the snaps may change.
◆I have made it with care, but it is a handmade item by an amateur.
Those who expect professional-level sewing, store-quality products, or packaging should refrain from purchasing.
◆Due to material costs, please refrain from price negotiations.
