80s USA Made! L.L.Bean Gray Wool Duffle Coat

This is a wool duffle coat made in the USA by L.L.Bean, an outdoor brand founded in Maine, USA, in 1911.

The tag reads L.L.Bean / FREEPORT, MAINE, and it is estimated to be a vintage piece from the 1980s to the early 1990s. Made from a sturdy wool material, it has a substantial feel and a classic appeal. It is insulated with Thinsulate for excellent warmth, making it suitable for mid-winter wear.
The plaid lining adds to its great atmosphere, making it a stylish piece even when taken off.

The size is labeled SMALL, but as the actual measurements below indicate, it is made to fit relatively large. My family member, who is 173cm tall and weighs 70kg, wore it as a just-right fit.

The quality of construction, typical of American-made products, makes this a timeless outerwear piece that transcends trends and can be worn for years to come.

Due to age, there is some pilling on the lining, but it is at a level that can be easily removed with a fabric shaver. Additionally, there is some peeling at the bottom of the zipper, but it does not affect its functionality. If you are concerned, it can likely be repaired with heat-activated double-sided fabric tape.
