Yam seed tubers
These are seed tubers of the Genkotsu Jiro variety of yam, grown in my hobby garden. The harvested length is about 30-40 cm as shown in Photo 3, so I think it's just right for home gardens. Plant around March when there's no risk of frost, and harvest from mid-October onwards. I've selected seed tubers with sprouts as shown in Photo 2, so they should sprout reliably. As seen in Photo 4, the flesh is pure white, sticky, and very delicious. This listing is for 16 seed tubers, each weighing approximately 50-100 grams as shown in Photo 1. As a bonus, I'm including about 50 medium-sized bulbils (mukago) as shown in Photo 5. Despite the heat this year, I was able to harvest a large quantity of seed tubers. I'm listing them here in the hope that you will also enjoy them.
