This is a lidded round pot (kame) from Taira Kiln, made in Japan.
It is a masterpiece characterized by its deep amber glaze and traditional dripping pattern.
Echizen ware is very durable, and ceramic pots are less affected by external temperatures, making them ideal for making fermented foods and preserved foods such as pickled plums, miso, and rice bran pickles, as well as for storing rice.
