Product Features
● A non-adherent dressing with a unique three-layer structure.
● The material and role of the three-layer structure are as follows, providing functionality not found in gauze.
1. Wound Contact Layer: A porous polyester film that quickly absorbs exudate and prevents adherence to the application site.
2. Absorbent Layer: Cotton/polyester fibers absorb and retain exudate, reducing leakage.
3. Outer Layer: A polyester non-woven fabric with a water-repellent treatment.
● Due to the above features, it can be used for various purposes such as an absorbent primary dressing applied directly to the wound utilizing its non-adherent properties, a secondary dressing with high absorbency, and a cover dressing for ointment applications.
● This product is sterile and ready for immediate use.
Indications and Effects
A covering and protective material made of non-woven fabric used for the treatment of wounds, postoperative wounds, or surgical incisions.
In this product, the wound contact layer is processed to prevent adherence to the wound surface.
How to Use
1. Select a Melolin gauze size appropriate for the wound size.
2. Apply the shiny polyester film side (smooth side) to the wound surface.
3. Secure the applied Melolin with tape or another dressing.
4. Replace with a new Melolin when leakage of exudate or peeling around the edges is observed.
5. Also ideal as a cover dressing for ointments.
Precautions
Beware of water leakage. Store below 25°C, avoiding direct sunlight, open flames, and high temperatures/humidity.
