Vihkiruusu (Wedding Rose) was created during a time when Marimekko had very few floral designs. However, Maija Isola was captivated by the theme of flowers and went on to create various new floral prints. The iconic Unikko was one of the prints designed around the same time as Vihkiruusu.

I carefully preserved this novelty item but couldn't find the space to display it.
