Bamboo with Vermilion Lacquer Server + Lacquered Chopsticks, Tongs, Server, Kyoto, Bamboo Craft, Made in Japan, Bengara Color

This is a server (tongs) purchased at a Kyoto-themed pottery shop when I lived in Kyoto.
It was barely used and kept in a kitchen drawer.

It is made of bamboo, with a red lacquer-like coating on the sides and inside.

I appreciate the diamond-shaped carvings on the inside to prevent slipping.

The server is approximately 18cm long.
The tips open about 3.5cm.

It can neatly pick up condiments like green onions for soba noodles, leafy sprouts, or chirimenjako (small dried sardines).

There are a few millimeters of chipped paint at the very tip, but otherwise, there are no noticeable damages. Please check the photos for the condition.

I found a pair of chopsticks in a similar Bengara red color (almost unused), so I've decided to offer them as a set.
These are likely made of wood.
The color is a subdued reddish-brown, reminiscent of the Bengara red window frames found in Kyoto.
While it is lacquered, I am unsure if it is genuine lacquer.
They are 20.5cm long. I believe they can be used as serving chopsticks alongside the bamboo server.

The lemon used for size comparison is not included.

Shipping via Yu-Packet Post Mini is planned.
