Recommended for those looking for unusual or interesting Japanese paper.

Hikihaku, crafted with various techniques, can be admired for its beauty simply by framing it without any further embellishment, or it can be used as a material for Japanese-style art panels.

※Hikihaku (引箔) is Japanese paper used in Nishijin weaving (mainly for high-end obi sashes). Pure silver or gold foil is used, and there are various techniques such as lacquering, dyeing, baking, and crushing. There is a wide variety of types, and many of the techniques are proprietary secrets, with various names for the techniques.
