This is a metal craft (bronze medallion) titled Red Plum Blossom manufactured by the Japan Mint, an independent administrative agency. It is inspired by the design of the red plum blossoms and the central stream depicted in the right panel of the National Treasure Pair of Screens of Red and White Plum Blossoms, the masterpiece of the renowned Edo-period painter Korin Ogata.
