This is a green onion chopstick rest.
I purchased it on a trip to Kyoto, and I'm imagining Kujo green onions, though that's just my assumption.
In reality, it's a leaf green onion, so it's more greenish.
Among Kyoto's traditional vegetables, it has the oldest history, and cultivation began in Kujo village, which faced Kujo Oji, a road running east and west south of Heian-kyo.
