Parakeet Cage Birdcage Imported Small Bird Cockatiel Medium-sized Parakeet Small Hwei

This imported cage was love at first sight over 10 years ago at the pet shop ECO in Yokohama (Tsuzuki). As a high school student, I saved up money from my part-time job bit by bit to buy it for my beloved cockatiel.
I believe it cost around 40,000 to 50,000 yen when purchased.
Since I was a high school student, I only remember it being a huge sum of money, so I apologize if it was cheaper than that.

The previous resident cockatiel is still alive and well as a middle-aged gentleman, but
due to space constraints for the birdcage, he has moved to a HOEI cage, leaving this one vacant.

The shape is a bit unusual, so I was worried about cockatiel panic (when they get startled and flap wildly), but my bird lived healthily without getting its feathers caught and injured.

The included food and water dishes show significant signs of age-related deterioration, so
instead of those, I plan to include two new GB (formerly Maruwa) cage food dishes (large).
They are slightly smaller than the genuine ones, but they fit quite snugly, so I believe they can be used without any issues.

The entire birdcage has been cleaned with hot water.
The chimney was also washed after removing the screws.
Regarding the tray beneath the droppings grate, it has been washed for over 10 years, so the paint is significantly peeled.

I hope this won't be a major issue as you'll likely be lining it with pet sheets, newspapers, flyers, kitchen paper, etc., but please be aware of this point.

It will take some time to prepare the cardboard and packing materials.
