58.08 $
Description
Custom-made craftsmanship! Combination 3-rod pull-out! Made in Japan!
This is a meticulously crafted mejiro (Japanese white-eye bird) cage, made by a basket weaver decades ago.
High-quality Japanese bamboo was used, and it has been regularly maintained with special oil, giving the fine bamboo strips and main ribs a beautiful fox-like color and shine.
It is sturdily constructed and, although many years have passed, it is unused.
Furthermore, the top and the lower part of the door opening have fine bamboo strips on all four sides.
Includes a perch, an attached food cup holder, and an unused Kutani-ware food cup. Please refer to the images.
Cage dimensions: Width 13.3 cm, Height 17.6 cm, Depth 26.2 cm
This is a very rare cage, a vintage item unlike any other. The condition is excellent.
