These are decorative stones made from high-quality Awaji roof tiles produced on Awaji Island, crushed and processed.
These are not the usual silver tiles, but rare black tiles that can only be made from Awaji Island soil rich in iron. They have a slightly angular finish, and are a naturally colored, matte black with a subdued luster, without any artificial coloring. They become an even deeper black when wet.
They have lower water retention and absorption rates than Fuji sand, and excellent drainage!

Furthermore, roof tiles are excellent for water purification,
and are effective in absorbing impurities and promoting bacterial growth, making them suitable for use as substrate stones in aquariums or as aqua soil.
Their black color makes plants and fish appear more vibrant and stand out.
