How to Use Ceramic Ware

1. First, pour hot water into the teapot to warm it. (Warming all tea ware is essential.)
2. Next, transfer the hot water to the tea pitcher (Chahai) to warm it.
3. Warm the teacups (Chahai) as well.
4. Add tea leaves to the teapot.
5. Then, pour hot water from a slightly higher position. (This allows air to mix in, helping the tea leaves unfurl.)
6. Cover the teapot and wait for brewing. (The first infusion typically takes about 10 seconds.)
7. Do not pour the tea brewed in the teapot directly into the teacups. Transferring it to the tea pitcher first ensures a uniform flavor. It is also useful for dividing the tea brewed in the teapot among cups.

Ideal for Gyokuro, Chinese green teas (Longjing green tea, White tea, Zhuyeqing, Bi Luo Chun, Hou Kui, etc.), and Jasmine tea.
