This is a Year of the Dragon collection, inspired by the dragon, the Chinese zodiac animal for 2024, featuring revived embroidery of dragons selected from numerous vintage sukajan jackets.
This piece recreates early 1950s vintage. The dragon, depicted majestically soaring through the sky with its mane flowing, is embroidered three-dimensionally using white thread as the base color. The reversible side features a landscape pattern. Following motifs like eagles, tigers, dragons, and the map of Japan, this is an iconic design for vintage sukajan jackets. This piece depicts beautiful Japanese scenery, including Mt. Fuji, a five-storied pagoda, a torii gate, a sailing ship, pine trees, and cherry blossoms in the distance. The embroidery on the chest, not just the back, also features a landscape pattern of cherry blossoms and Mt. Fuji. The pink x silver body is elegantly accented by black ribbed cuffs and hem, creating a sophisticated look.
