As the name suggests, windowpane oysters were historically used as window material in seaside mansions in Asia. They are thin, light, and possess a unique, beautiful luster. They are a common material seen in lampshades and decorative trays.
The beautiful red and orange gradient made me not realize they were shells until I opened the box.
