Made with SUS440C, a high-grade stainless steel known for its high hardness and considered among the world's finest.
While regular stainless steel is often used for hair cutting shears, it lacks hardness. Therefore, it's combined with hard steel.
The term stainless is a combination of stain (rust) and less (without), leading many to mistakenly believe it's rust-proof. However, rust can still form if left wet or handled improperly.
No steel is truly rust-proof. However, 440C's hardness allows it to maintain its sharpness. The combination of carbon and chromium (Cr), a rust-resistant element, makes 440C excellent in terms of rust resistance and sustained sharpness.
Proper maintenance, such as wiping with a cloth after use, is assumed.
