This is a Hand towel from Fujiya, a long-established shop in Asakusa.
A family member enjoyed it as a decorative Hand towel by framing it. They owned dozens of Fujiya Hand towels and would change them out every few days according to the season, so this is a beautiful item with almost no damage.
However, because the frame was wooden, some discoloration is visible on the lighter colored backgrounds.
It has not been washed as it may bleed color. It has been stored for the past few years.
We believe it can still be enjoyed as a decoration. How about it for the New Year?
