These are frozen quail chicks.
The quail chicks are humanely dispatched using carbon dioxide, then rapidly frozen at -35°C or below in our commercial freezer. (Stored at -25°C after freezing).

After dispatch, they are cooled with cold air to remove residual heat, bagged, and then immediately flash-frozen in thin pad trays.
These frozen quail chicks are handled with a focus on freshness.
