These are rice husks from Tochigi Prefecture, harvested last year.
They have been stored outdoors, so please excuse any inclusions such as rice straw or small stones.

Uses for Rice Husks:
They can be used for various purposes such as home gardening, horticulture, soil improvement, and as a weed control material.
If you spread rice husks in the soil or on the surface of the soil in early spring when it's cold, it can prevent the soil temperature from dropping, thus increasing seed germination rates.

Rice husks will eventually decompose into soil when spread in rice paddies or fields, so it's okay to leave them.

The rice husks will be spread out in a shaded, well-ventilated area to dry and remove moisture. Upon receiving an order, 140 liters of dried rice husks will be divided into three plastic bags, packed into a size 160 cardboard box, and shipped.
