Simple Shimekazari (New Year's Rope Decoration) Making Kit with Rice Stalks and Swag - 1 Brown

This is a DIY kit for creating a simple rice stalk shimekazari (New Year's decoration).
The finished product will be approximately 30cm (at its longest point).
Since it's simple, you can complete it in about 10 minutes.

Contents:
- Rice stalks: Approx. 100 stalks
- Nandina branches: 3-4 small branches
- Mizuhiki cord (with Awaji-musubi knot): 1 x 35cm red and white cord
- Mizuhiki cord: 1 x 45cm each of gold (or silver), yellow, and light green cords
- Washi paper for wrapping the rice stalk stems: 3 pieces (color will be chosen at random)
  (You can also make a diamond-shaped ornament)
- Mizuhiki cord: Several pieces for securing, etc.

All items will be packed in a plastic bag and envelope for NekoPos delivery.

The example shown uses approximately 50 rice stalks, 2 nandina branches, and only the red and white mizuhiki cord. You can increase the number of rice stalks for a larger decoration, add the other included mizuhiki cords or the diamond ornament for a more elaborate look, or even create one or two more pieces.

The rice stalks and nandina leaves are natural items from my garden, so their colors and shapes will vary. They are also freshly cut, so please remove them from the plastic bag immediately to prevent spoilage.
The Awaji-musubi knot is handmade by an amateur, so feel free to re-tie it to your preference.
While a few extra mizuhiki cords are included for securing parts, please use any suitable materials you have at home.

The kit contents are gathered from readily available items. We hope you'll enjoy adding your own touches with colored paper, leaves, or berries you have at home.
