☆Reasons for Decorating Kadomatsu (Pine Decorations)☆
It is to welcome the Toshigami (New Year's deity).
It is said that Kadomatsu originated from placing pine decorations as a landmark for the house so that the Toshigami could easily find it.
Originally, they were placed outside the entrance, but they can also be placed inside.
