Description

This is an Oshie (stuffed cloth picture) Hagoita (a traditional Japanese paddle) purchased at Isetan Shinjuku about 60 years ago. It was displayed a few times during New Year's and then stored away.
The face is beautiful, the hair is not frayed, and I believe the kimono has almost no fading. However, the back of the Hagoita has traces of cellophane tape and stains.
Additionally, the box has age-related yellowing, stains, and damage.
