Furthermore, the concentration of formaldehyde increases with heat.

Interfacing is excellent when used correctly, but it carries risks for small birds.
I would never consider ironing interfacing with a stinging, irritating odor all over a carry bag.

The adhesive on interfacing is a chemical substance such as resin, with a high formaldehyde content. The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare sets standards for formaldehyde content in human clothing (excluding infants and toddlers).
