This is a vintage Omega De Ville with cut glass, automatic movement.

I am listing items that a long-established watch shop owner, who is my classmate, has specially provided to me at a friend's price. This watch has undergone a complete overhaul and maintenance at that watch shop, with all parts, both external and internal, checked. Therefore, the watch has been confirmed to be genuine and authentic, so I believe you can purchase with confidence. As proof of the disassembly and overhaul, I have uploaded photos of the disassembled watch.

Among similar models with cut glass windshields, the automatic winding specification is popular, and items in such beautiful condition are becoming rare. Of course, it is a genuine, authentic Omega.

I wound the mainspring daily for 5 days and observed it in a stationary state. The total error over 5 days was less than 1 minute, which translates to an error of about 10-15 seconds per day. For vintage watches that have not been overhauled, a daily error of 2-3 minutes is common. However, as long as the movement is not in extremely poor condition, it is easy to achieve a daily error of within 30 seconds after an overhaul.

As this is a vintage watch over 50 years old, there are minor scratches, but it is in beautiful condition that belies its age.

A key point in choosing a usable vintage watch is whether it has been recently overhauled. Just as there are no classic cars that continue to run well without worn parts or oil replaced, maintenance is important for antique wristwatches.
