Iwayado Tansu, Nambu Tekki, Zelkova, Lacquerware, Chest, Tansu, Traditional Crafts, Chest of Drawers, Japanese

This is a chest of drawers from Iwayado Tansu!

Manufacturer: Fujisato Woodworking, a historic traditional workshop based in Esashi, Oshu City, Iwate Prefecture, which has handled wood processing, lacquering, and metal carving – tasks usually performed separately – with high quality.

Traditional Mark (JISA Mark): The circular mark to the left of the stamp is the Traditional Mark, designated by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, indicating it is a Traditional Craft Product. It serves as proof that it meets the strict quality standards of Iwayado Tansu and is an authentic product.

The beautiful grain of the zelkova wood is further enhanced by the lacquer finish, creating a more impressive appearance.
The Nambu ironware fittings also add a sense of weight and are very elegant.

This chest of drawers can be used for over 100 years if cared for properly.

It has many storage compartments, making it versatile for various uses. The inside of the drawers is also clean.

It comes with one original key. The lock functions without any issues.

There are minor scratches from use, but overall it is in beautiful condition. However, as it is not a new item, those who are overly concerned about perfection should refrain from purchasing. We kindly ask for your understanding before making a purchase!

Size:
Width 104.5cm, Depth 45cm, Height 115cm

Shipping via Tanomeru-bin (a service for shipping large items) is included. However, you are welcome to pick it up from my home in Matsudo City. In that case, the shipping fee of ￥12,000 will be deducted.

Direct delivery is also possible to Chiba, Saitama (from Chiba), Ibaraki, Kanagawa (from Yokohama), and the 23 wards of Tokyo. In this case, the fee is ￥8,000, so ￥4,000 (the difference from Tanomeru-bin) will be discounted from the current price.
