Tochigi wood single slabs are characterized by their elegant, silk-like luster, beautiful wavy grain known as chijimi-moku (puckered grain), and rich color variations that differ with each piece.
With expressions ranging from bright cream to deep ripple marks (grain), they are very popular not only in Japanese-style rooms but also as a centerpiece in modern Western-style rooms.

《 Main Features and Appeal 》
Beautiful Chijimi-moku and Luster: It has a unique, beautiful silk-like luster, and is prone to showing chijimi-moku or namimoku (wavy grain) that sparkles depending on the angle of light.
Rich Color Gradation: The sapwood (outer part) is a clean, milky white, while the heartwood (central part) mixes reddish-brown or dark colors called akada (red heartwood), creating a beautiful contrast.
Dynamic Tree Shape: Because it grows into a large tree, wide single slabs can be easily obtained, allowing for impressive dining tables that utilize the natural curves (edges).
Soft and Smooth Texture: The wood is dense and uniform, resulting in a very smooth finish with a warm and gentle texture to the touch.

Please note that natural wood may have warping, twisting, cracks, chips, or knots.
