This offering table is made from Korosho Stone, a high-grade stone from Okazaki City.

The speckled appearance, which may seem like spots, is a pattern sometimes found in high-grade stones and is immediately recognizable as such by stone merchants.
This stone is no longer quarried and is therefore rare.
It is finished with a water polish, not a high polish (smooth and shiny), resulting in a matte finish.
