Found during a house clean-out at my parents' home.
It doesn't have the lightness of aluminum and feels sturdy, so I believe the material is stainless steel, but this is just my amateur opinion, so please take it as a reference.
The small holes in the plate seem to facilitate steaming and draining, and ensure even heating of ingredients.
How about using it as a steaming plate or stand for steamed dishes, or as a simmering lid for simmered dishes?
As this is a used item, there are signs of use, scuffs, dullness, and slight rust-like discoloration on the screw parts, but I believe it can still be used.
