Komiyayokan Takasebune Yokan, 15 pieces

Takasebune boats, which once connected mountains and seas, carried abundant mountain harvests at times and vibrant sea harvests at others.  The Komiya Takasebune Yokan carries on the spirit of connection embodied by these boats, which were once seen on major rivers and clear streams throughout Japan from the medieval period (around 1300) until the early Showa era. We meticulously select each adzuki bean and craft this yokan with great care.

It is best enjoyed when a thin layer of crystallization (surface saccharification) forms on the surface, which typically occurs in about 3 weeks. *This product is shipped immediately after production. Immediately after production, the surface will not have yet crystallized. Crystallization occurs approximately 3 weeks after production (Note 1), so customers who prefer a crystallized texture are asked to let the product sit for a while after purchase. Additionally, opening the package and storing it in a cool, room-temperature location will accelerate the crystallization process. *Note 1: Three weeks is the average period for natural crystallization and does not guarantee crystallization. Depending on temperature, humidity, and storage conditions, it may take over a month for crystallization to occur.
