Artist-Made Black Tagine Pot, Ceramic, Φ21cm x H20cm
This is a black ceramic tagine pot.
The decorative pattern gives it an exotic feel, but it was made by a Japanese artist.
I bought it at Hanada, but I've forgotten the artist's name.
The distinctive conical lid is unique to tagines.
I used to have an Emile Henry tagine, but after bringing this tagine into my home, the Emile Henry went to a friend's house.
I invited it in, but it's unused.
It's unusual for Hanada to carry tagines, so perhaps tagines by individual artists are rare.
I'm happy to have it (which is contradictory to selling it).
While taking photos, I thought the pot itself would look cool used as a medium-sized bowl.
- Purchase location: Hanada (Kudan)
- Design: Tagine pot style, decorative pattern
- Shape: Pot with a conical lid
- Material: Ceramic
- Size: 21cm x Height (including lid) 20cm
* Unused
* Slight signs of age
* It was explained that it can be used on direct heat as it is a pot. Although the underside looks like it's made for earthenware pots, I hesitate to use it on direct heat (even though I haven't used it).
* For those who understand
Thank you for looking.
