This is a Hasami-yaki tagine pot.
A few years ago, it became quite popular for its ability to cook vegetables, meat, fish, and other ingredients using only their natural moisture.
By not adding water, the flavors of the ingredients are said to come out richer.
It can be used on direct heat, and because it's small, it can also be used in the microwave.
It's perfect for the currently popular steamed dishes.
It hasn't been used very often and is still in good condition.
