This is a traditional Japanese craft, Banko ware (also known as Manto-yaki), made in Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture, with excellent heat resistance. This is a black glaze sweet potato roaster.
It has only been used once since purchase. There are some roasting marks on the inside, but it is in perfect working condition.

You can easily enjoy stone-baked sweet potatoes on your home stove. The far-infrared effect will bake your sweet potatoes to a fluffy perfection.
