Cypress wood has been used in castles, palaces, and large-scale buildings since ancient times due to its strength and durability.

It is said that cypress wood from Nara Prefecture was used in Horyu-ji Temple, the world's oldest wooden building, which was built 1300 years ago and still stands today.

Furthermore, Nara Prefecture conducted several experiments on cypress and cedar grown within the prefecture.

As a result, it has been proven that cypress and cedar from Nara Prefecture have higher effects than those from other prefectures in terms of inhibition of E. coli growth, inhibition of mold growth, repellency of mites, inactivation of viruses, and reduction of UV rays.
