Porada
Porada, a luxury Italian furniture brand, is often called the most beautiful wooden furniture in the world. Its roots trace back to 1948, when Luigi Allevi, a furniture craftsman, opened a subcontracting workshop for wooden furniture in the Brianza region of northern Italy. In 1968, it was established as Porada by his four sons. It evolved into a manufacturer of original design furniture and quickly established itself as a global brand. Porada's characteristic is its smooth, organic curves that maximize the texture of the wood. Much of its furniture is designed with the philosophy that straight lines do not exist in nature or the human body, leaving a deep impression on viewers. Its refined form, which blends classic and modern without being ostentatious, possesses a unique individuality that makes it recognizable as Porada furniture to anyone. This aesthetic beauty is realized through the skill of craftsmen who know wood inside and out, the collaboration of the four brothers who manage and operate the business, and designers who share their vision. Furniture like works of art continues to be born from the sense of unity unique to a family business. Among its representative works is the GARBO ARMCHAIR, a masterpiece chair characterized by its elegant curves, inspired by the wavy hair of Hollywood actress Greta Garbo in the 1930s. Porada has also exhibited continuously at Salone del Mobile, the world's largest design event, since 1964. In 2014, it celebrated its 50th anniversary, and its history and influence are highly regarded both inside and outside the industry, as evidenced by the commemorative poster presented by the organizing association.
