Nambu ironware wind chimes are characterized by their higher pitch and lingering resonance compared to general wind chimes. In the first place, good quality iron produces a high-pitched sound when iron strikes iron. Nambu ironware is made in Oshu City, Iwate Prefecture, a region formerly known as Date Domain, blessed with high-quality raw materials. Each Nambu ironware wind chime is carefully finished by artisans with great care, and the subtle differences in sound are unique to handmade items.
