Description
This is a set of 7 Royal Pets, a series of vintage wooden toys in a Nordic style.
Please check the images for the condition. As these are old items, there may be minor scratches and dirt. Thank you for your understanding.
We hope they will be cherished by someone who will take good care of them.
Royal Pets is a series that was sold by the mail-order company Senshukai from the late 1960s to the 1970s.
It is a toy series that strongly reflects the Nordic boom of the 1960s.
Kokeshi doll artisans hollow out the wood from innocence and create each piece by hand, resulting in cute, simple, and widely loved variations in expression.
The minimal parts, simple design, and rounded form, conscious of the Nordic style, are timeless.
The cuteness, which also conveys a sense of depth through the techniques of Kokeshi doll artisans, continues to attract many collectors today.
